Dream in Verbs, Not in Nouns

What are your career aspirations?

You may be tempted to answer this question using nouns that describe existing jobs, such as "computer programmer," "announcer,” or “lawyer."

However, what will happen if you are not able to enter that exact career path?

You may feel that you haven't fulfilled your dream.

You can increase your chances of realizing your goal by stating your dream in verbs.

Let's say you want to be a cartoonist.

You could rephrase this noun dream as what you want to do.

For example, your dream could be to bring people joy by telling them stories with pictures.

Then you will have a wider range of possibilities.

You could be a cartoonist, but you could also fulfill your dream by becoming an animation director or an illustrator.

Are you still unconvinced?

Then here is a perfect example of how dreaming in verbs can help you accomplish more than you imagined.

A Short Biography of Jane Goodall

When Jane Goodall was young, she loved to observe animals and read books about nature.

As she grew up, she developed a strong longing to study wildlife in Africa.

She eventually got an opportunity at the age of 26 to do it.

She moved to Tanzania and observed wild chimpanzees there.

During this period of her studying, she made major discoveries about chimpanzee behavior.

While researching chimpanzees, she learned about the destruction of animal habitats and the seriousness of animal rights violations.

This acknowledgment led her to make another significant decision:

to make people more aware about animal rights and welfare.

She has done many things to put her decision into practice.

For instance, she established an institute to support wildlife conservation and has spoken out against animal cruelty.

Today, she is considered one of the most famous chimpanzee experts and animal rights activists.

The way Jane Goodall has achieved her life aspirations is wonderful.

When you dream in verbs like she did, you can increase your opportunities to make your own dreams come true.

So, what are your career aspirations now?
